How Does Cinavia Work?
How Can Cinavia Affect You?
If you copy a Cinavia-protected DVD/Blu-ray disc to another blank DVD/Blu-ray disc, or convert it to popular video formats like MP4, MKV, AVI, etc., without removing the Cinavia watermark. While playing the copied disc or converted video file on Cinavia enabled home Blu-ray players, such as PS3, the playback will pause and audio mute, at around 20 minutes into the movie. As stated in the message code, don’t try to adjust the volume, because it won’t work at all. If your playback device does not have a Cinavia detector, then you are lucky. However, according to Blu-ray Disc Association, as of February 1, 2012, the Cinavia technology became mandatory to all Blu-ray disc players.
